Frank Porth Chevrolet is intent upon making the purchase process a breeze for our customers, which is why we’ve prepared a handy guide on what documents to bring when you’re buying a car.
Driver’s License: Believe it or not, a driver’s license is an important artifact to bring to the dealership when you’re trying to purchase a vehicle to drive off the lot. This not only serves as verification of your legal status as a driver but helps confirm your identity as well.
Car Insurance: We want to make sure your investment is protected, which is why we ask that you bring proof of insurance with you to the dealership. More importantly, it’s the law.
Title & Registration for Trade-In: If you intend to trade in your vehicle, it is vital to bring in a valid title and registration. Otherwise, we won’t be able to accept your trade-in. Additionally, if you have an active lien on the car, make sure to bring in your account number.
Supporting Rebate Documents: If you want to take advantage of Chevrolet’s many discounts (such as First Responder, Military, and Educator), you’ll need to make sure you bring in documents that prove your eligibility.
Payment: Don’t forget to bring in cash or a check if you want to make a down payment on your vehicle.
