The first 2020 Chevrolet Corvette rolled off the line in early February of this year. Manufactured at the General Motors Bowling Green Assembly plant in Kentucky, the 2020 Corvette has been one of the most anticipated vehicles on the market. With a distinct mid-engine design and exceptional performance, this is one sports car any auto enthusiast can enjoy.
This eighth-generation Stingray is the first ever to offer a mid-engine design, which includes an all-new LT2 V8 engine that’s available through the rear hatch window. There’s a hardtop convertible design to let you enjoy the open air, while redesigned seats are ideal for the track and road. The 2020 Corvette generates 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque, which is the most powerful production Stingray in history.
“The long wait is finally over, and the new mid-engine Chevy Corvette is as good as we could have imagined. So good, in fact, that it earned a 2020 10Best award right out of the gate,” said Car and Driver’s Michael Simari. “The eighth-generation Corvette now boasts an engine behind the passenger cabin, just like the best from Porsche, Ferrari, and McLaren but at many thousands of dollars less.”
Other features include a special Z51 Package, which has larger brakes, eLSD lighting, a front splitter, and special performance tires, among other things. There’s also available Magnetic Ride Control™ 4.0, while a unique performance data recorder is great for those who want to capture acceleration speed, braking, gear choice, and more information.
