Looking for family-friendly activities in the Crivitz, Wisconsin area? Here are just five of our favorite local sites to explore.  

New Zoo & Adventure Park

Featuring six habitats from the wilds of Africa to the local species of Wisconsin, the New Zoo offers family fun with up close animal encounters. Fun behind-the-scenes events like feeding the giraffes or penguins are available, or register for one of the Summer Zoo Camps. The connected Adventure Park offers high-flying feats like a ropes course, zip line, and climbing wall.

Lumberjack Steam Train

Over in Laona is a real, working vintage 1916 steam train. Travel back in time in authentic passenger cars or cabooses as the engine pulls you to Camp 5, an 1800s logging site. There you’ll be able to browse the museum, blacksmith shop, petting zoo, and restaurant.

Death’s Door Maritime Museum

Located on the tip of a peninsula, the Gills Rock fishing town houses a fascinating museum of lake history. Death’s Door Museum features Hope, an authentic 45-foot tug boat dating from 1930. Check out the shipwreck exhibit and see artifacts dredged up from Lake Michigan’s dangerous passage, Death’s Door. Bay Beach Amusement Park

For classic amusement park fun, head to Bay Beach. Rides like bumper cars, a Ferris wheel, and the Zippin Pippin roller coaster border the shore of Green Bay.

For a fun, free time out in nature, head to the wildlife sanctuary to peruse 600 acres of natural wonderland. Come see rescued baby animals, hike the trails, or take part in catch-and-release fishing.
